Tony De Vit Pure Pleasure Live In Ibiza 1997
I got this in 1998 it was part of a double pack labeled "Pure Pleasure Presents Sasha & Tony De Vit Live In Ibiza 1997" The Sasha tape was fake, but i think this one is genuine. Is got a lot of Tony's signature tracks on it. From what i can remember its quite melodic
. Enjoy

I will try and get the Tony De Vit Regression 1998 green cover one done today |

Tony De Vit Regression 1998 green cover
I cant really remember much about this one except its to banging for my taste. I prefer the "Pure Pleasure Live In Ibiza 97" mix. This one came as a single tape with a green cover with pictures of wimmin in bikinis on it

Hey there - I hate to say it but I think not only was that Sasha Tape a fake but the tony one is too.
Yes the tunes are quite banging but this mixing style just doesnt sound like him - I could be wrong (anyone else got an opinion?)
to be fair ive only listened to it once.. but even live tony literally never ever ever dropped a beat and has a particular stlye of beat mxing where he bring down the fader on the track thats playing ever so slightly as the new tracks comes in (yes im a big big tony de vit DJ goone) and on this set there's just to many errors and just not sounding as tight as you'd expect..
And i know its live so the monitoring could have been rubbish which would explain the odd mistake but even the mid track EQ ing which i dont think there is any off is not there and Tony loved to add depth to tracks using this technique.
Just my thoughts
BUT either way big up yourself for bothering to upload the mixes its most appreciated! Im just downloading the second one now!
Much respect
Rennie

Hi Chunky, thank you so much for the downloads,I`m just about to listen to the first one.I`ll have a go at a tracklist on each of them by the weekend.
Thanks also to Rennie for making me dig out my copy of Live in Ibiza.I must admit that years ago when I first got it I wasn`t sure because all the Trade mixes etc were so perfect, but now,70 mixes later I reckon it`s definitely him.It was the sound quality and the fact that he`s out either side of Never lost his hardcore that threw me.But as more and more mixes come up,I`m certain that it`s the genuine article. It`s simply the track selection, the way they`re blended, their start and end points, sometimes sitting together for two minutes, sometimes just snipped and dropped.I also reckon, but it`s hard to tell without having the record, that there`s a little TdV trademark in there. The track between hellfire and f16 has been doubled up,that is two of the same records played over each other to extend it,but I could be wrong on that one.
Out of all the ones I`ve got,I`ve only got my doubts about live at the co/co club.If you want to hear Tony play despite a crap sound engineer and somebody doing live percussion set and twangy disco right over the actual crux point of the mix, check out Dreamscape 20.There was one going around called techno tools or techno tunes mixed by TdV with no more info on it which isn`t even close [yes,I bought it,£5 and lobbed it] so 1 in 70 isn`t bad.
A brief stab at a tracklist so,
1 ?
2 Stryke Acid Musique,De Donatis mix
3 Obsessive Tune in Turn out [tripoli]
4 ?
5 ?
6 ?
7 Max and Amino Kommisar [alien trax]
8 ?
9 ?
10 Mark NRG Never lost his hardcore,Baby Doc Mix,[top banana]
11 Choci + EC1 Give it to me,or poss Demonik Emotions Stuck on a spacetrip I always confuse the two
12 200 Degrees Hellfire
13 ????? poss x2 [please help with this one]
14 F16 XTC Phase One
15 ?
16 TdV I Don`t care
What a wicked, wicked set especially track 13,a thing of beauty is a joy forever.Goosebumps guaranteed every time I hear it. |

The mixing is technically spot on, literally no dropped beats. and also the nature of clubs sets are that the tunes are NOT mixed together like a bloody 'bext club tunes in the world ever' CD on a computer. Tunes are often given space to breath.. hence the end to beginning mixing.
If you've ever been clubbing you'll know when a massive tune has been played when the next one is mixed in it is often mixed in early and then the tune itself is allowed to build.
The way house music is produced each and every record is able to do that..
This allows the crowd to almost relax (if u can - lol) and just stomp away to a nice kick drum and hat.. then the bassline line comes.. (bit more ass movement required).. then some staps.. (more excitement) Then drums rolls start (now we're cheering!!) and we're off again - this is what real clubbing is like..
Real Tony de vit fans know that and would have seen the master himself so I take it you guys who are slagging the downloads have never seen Tony de vit play?
Long live his memory!

Hi mate,
thought id chip back in on this discussion.
I have to say i really really dont think this set is TDV. the fact that the sasha one was fake speaks volumes.. and him an tony were HUGE at the time of release.
I know the tunes are big tony tunes however they were all rpetty freely available at the time.. i dont seem to recall any exclusive tracks on the tape (could be rwrong)
also the fact the dj plays two copies of one track to extend is true but not really that clever to be honest..
Anyway Love a good debate - we'll never know who is right but hey at least we both know tdv was fooooookin amazing!
so long live the TDV memory..
and how good is dreamscape 20 even with that fookin idiot live percusionnist! why why why?
never really understood it.. he was often out of time anyway.. grrrrrr lol
much repsect.
come give ur tdv opinions on myspace.com/tonydevit too
its growing fast! |

Right 1st off Ill start with the hot topic of the Ibiza set been a fake, I can tell you for certain its not as I have the full version which is extended to that and with the tune selection I just know its Tony from a mile off.
On another note Im happy to upload any of these sets I have which are forever incresing in size as I got a load more recently, the only condition been is that I aren't the only one on here sharing cuz as Mark knows these sets don't come easy nor cheaply at times, my first request been is Mark uploads the Sex Cat: 1252 (Blue Cover) I recall which is a double tape, Ive been needing for my original collection of Sex in quite a while and Im still prepared to buy it off ya mate, in return Ill transfer and upload the last two sets he missed out on to me ; ) these been I recall Fever Obsessed & Sex Cat: 1238
Also to the guy who posted the Boxed set and the Regression tapes forst of all thanks and second would you be willing to sell either, tbh Im most interested in the Regression if you can dare part with just the one cuz it fits more into my collection here below is the full load on my last update.

Had no time to get on here in ages, me n rennie had a talk a while back but nothing came off it, I think we should get our heads together here anyway guys so hit me up on msn mrbishi_@msn.com
As for sets, I hate to say I have no current means of transfering from tape to mp3, if anyone has a decent enough tape deck to provide me hahahaha then Ill galdy send a few your way, tbh I want to get them all on mp3 and sell the collections, still not sure yet if I want to part with any of the DeVit ones it would be sooooo fucking hard to part with them and if I did it would be for top $ they defo not leaving cheaply hahahaha |
