we all meet up at tonys place...then 3 cars left first so we could find parking. the line off people outside was 5 wide and went off up the road and round the corner. Tony pulled up outside in his toyota mpv and made sure we where all together. we got to the door and they asked who we all where. "tdv + 13 guests"..the person with the clipboard said you can't have that many....tony said " i can if you want me to play tonite" and he just said.." go go go" and we all ran in...it was fun Smile
that nite Tony played funky phantom for the 1st time...lets say the placed rocked Wink
and while we was there..a mr Tall Paul was there..but he left the VIP lounge as i think we all made him uncomtfabe..i don't know why Wink " this was when the TRaDE thing and the Sandy B thing was going on" and within 30 mins Tall Paul came back and he and tony where talking again.
a night that sticks in my mind as if it was only yesterday.

Friend in Brum.....very mysterious?

Intrigued into who you may be?

Or do I know you?

God you bring back some memories!

I remember the gathering of the TDV entourage and the dedicated transport, especially the Previa....soo comfortable!

I never personally really followed Tony on his gigs and only going on those ones where he just wanted company, these I thought were special as it was just him and me and a chance to catch up on new tracks and ideas.

On some of these rare gigs I would just stand there behind the console, watch and learn. He would give me this big smile and give thumbs up when he was about to put on a track he thought we could take ideas from and to note the reaction.

When I wasn’t at the gigs (I couldn’t keep up with him as it would start on the Friday and not finish till Sunday night!) I would baby sit his house together with my girlfriend then.

As for this Tall Paul thing, I remember that stand off they had all the time....weird! Tony didn’t want to upset him as he thought he would loose his Trade spot! As for that Sandy B thing, we nearly lost it thanks to Paul threatening him! They sorted it finally anyway, just some DJ rivalry.

Oh god...the memories!

Si.

No prob with the mystery thing.

God, time does fly by! but I still feel young and still in love with music production, not fame or money.

I hope to soon get that special track out again and set a trend, like back then, its just being in the right place, with the right people at the right time with the right track!

'I dont Care' how long it takes, I will just continue to write.

Maybe I could be soon working alongside another future legened?

Si.
