That`s brilliant news! I`ll do my best to get all of my TDV stuff logged as accurately as I can. Now,I didn`t realise what I`d let myself in for, Tony and Simon really churned them out and I`ve spent an excellent weekend sorting out the remixes and mix sessions but more of them later.I`m nearly there but just having trouble with a couple of things, getting hold of the dj big al arriva arriva remix, the gush/do it remix, the release date for stack the galli and age of love/outlander,all the rest I have.I`ll include all the details of the bonus tracks as well. As for Tony`s studio/live mixes, where do I start? There`s a lot to go through, about 42 in all, including official and unofficial,3 out on loan, and 3 new ones on the way.Anybody who just heard the kerching sample in their head, forget it!Thankfully,it`s not common. Most have no tracklisting,so that`s why the release date of the remixes is so important, but I was lucky with the early ones{94/95} as the club/month/year was on them. Then there`s the original tunes they made, with their bonus mixes to be listed, and I`ve got about 15 radio shows, both the Tuesday nights and Sat nights.I`m not messing around here! So,let`s see everybody put in anything they have.It would be excellent as well to have a photo section with pics of fliers, handouts, freebies etc,.Any ideas as to what else we could do?

I've added a gallery to the forum.. Not the BEST solution, but it will do for a start.

You can post pics in the 'general' forum, or your personal "per-user" gallery.

Check it out! Click "gallery" in the link section at the top of the page !

Jessop, feel free to add/modify/delete etc. gallery categories, in admin panel -> gallery -> configuration etc.

It just gets better and better,Jamie and Jessop you are both absolute stars!I`ve got a couple of small magazine articles that should scan ok and I`ll get them sorted after the weekend.I`ve just found out Trade`s 15th is on tonight and Steve Thomas is playing and I haven`t heard him in a long time! The discog is almost ready for posting, just a couple of small details to be straightened out.I`ve also got a few mag articles[in full] that aren`t available on the web and will get them to Jamie and Jessop very soon.Does anybody have the Mixmag [I think] article from about 96/97 that starts"The glitterball? explodes showering the crowd below"...... blah blah blah.It would be excellent to get a copy,a real reminder of the times.Right, early night for me,I hope I get in.

Ok i have just stuck out the first uploaded mixes i really hope i have done it right and stuff but i think i have.
To download tracks you will have to be a member of the forum.
To upload the same applies.
Once we have sorted everything out and looking abit nicer (at the moment its a case of follwing a link to download) and ive spoken to jamie i hope to put down more clearly what we can and cannot accept but for now we will play it by ear
Thanks..

Thanks a million k00lworld, for the mixes,I`ve just heard the first one and it`s absolutely excellent.Hearing Tony do Feel the beat into Fever had me jumping around the place!Have a listen to the ones I`ve put on so far. They`re from old tapes so i`ve tried to join them as best I can.The second one just had Juicy on it,it`s in three parts as a mate copied it on to a c90.It was one of the first ones I ever got and led to a search for many more.I`m sure everybody agrees that there are not many better feelings than finding a mix by Tony that you haven`t heard before. To hear the craft that he put in to every set is just something else.I can have a go at the tracklisting of your ones, and I`ve got a fairly accurate list for my ones as well.I`m off to listen to the second mix,so thanks once again.

Thanks also for uploading mixes, I am downloading them at the moment.

I have three more TDV tapes from Naughty But Nice to upload once I have gotten round to ripping and encoding them.

I also have the Live House Collection Mixtapes bought from Catapult in Cardiff. I don't think it is a commercial release as I have only seen it in specialist record shops and that was years ago (The tapes also look like C60's). If it is okay by the site admin I can also upload them as they are already WAV'ed and just needs encoding which shouldn't take long.

I have made a start with a tracklisting for the mix already uploaded. There may be mistakes as I have ID'ed them from memory. If anyone can help complete/verify the listing it would be much appreciated.

Naughty But Nice - 25th October 1996 - Tony De Vit

1.
2. Hole In One - Life's Too Short (Manifesto)
3. Tony De Vit - Don't Ever Stop (TDV)
4.
5. Outlander - The Vamp (TdV Remix) (R&S)
6. Sunglasses Ron - Feel The Beat (White)
7. SJ - Fever (React)
8.

9. DJ Supreme - Tha Wildstyle
10. Louise - Naked (TdV Remix)
11. Tony De Vit - Are You All Ready (TDV)
12. Bush Babies - Delicious (Chug N Bump)
13. Committee - Welcome
14. Paganini Track - Zoe
15. Heliotropic - Walk With Me
16.

You`ve done more than I could, the last one I`ve got somewhere but it would take some searching to find it.Number 6 was released later as Camisra, Feel the Beat. The Original mix sounds closest,as the Sunglasses Ron mix on this one sounds nothing like yours,{could be that Tony was doing some 3 deck mixing, bringing the intro back in again before dropping Fever].I think also track 4 is two mixes of the same track into each other but I could be wrong about that as well!
I`ve put another one up in the meantime,I`ve got no information on it at all.It was just a tape my mate did for me back at the time,same again,3 joins in it[from a c90]there are a few skips and ropey bits in it,[I`m responsible for the ones in the middle of Red Light District into Dyewitness and later Shadowman as I tried to join it] but you`ll probably enjoy it all the same.I defy anybody to listen to it all the way through and not have their hands in the air when the last tune really kicks in!Happens every time every time,guaranteed!The best I can do on the tracklisting is;
1 Essence The Promise TdV Dub Innocent
2 ?
3 ?
4 Shazzaam Funkee Muzik Tripoli Trax
5 ?
6 Dyewitness What would you like to hear again IanM mix Tidy Trax
7 ?
8 Wax Scientists {Tom Wax} Shadowman Phuture wax
9 ?
10 Mandala Evolution [Commander Club Dub] Noom 16
11 ?
Can anybody identify no 11 as I`ve been searching for this one for years.Cheers,Mark

Just checked the Live House Collection tapes and packaging. There is a standard copyright on the tapes but no company/publisher listed anywhere on them or the packaging. Front packaging text lists the DJ's, has the text "Chapter One" (I also have chapter two) and has the heading "Live House Collection". Rear of Packaging states the heading again and also the text "Simply the Best". Spine says "Dat cro2", lists the DJ's and the price of £11.99.

Hope to have the second Naughty but Nice TdV tape uploaded on Sunday. Have just WAV'ed it. I need to encode it and check it encoded ok. I have also made a partial tracklisting.

First of all I`d like to ask,how lucky am I?After nearly 8 years of searching, within 24 hours of uploading the last mix I`ve found and bought[in Germany] a tune I`ve trawled through thousands of records to try and find.Thank you very much Triptomatic for doing me a big favour and IDing track 12 and also reminding me to include track 6 which is Red Light District Did you hear me? on Additive ,and also for track 10 which I`d forgotten the title of.
I totally agree with jessop on the copyright issue. We`re lucky to have what we have and care has to be taken not to mess it up,but I`d just like to say this,I was never that bothered that much about dance music until I heard Tony on his radio show back in 95 and I`d tape the show and listen to it the following day.The amount of money I spent buying records for a single turntable was enough, but after hearing how much better his sets were compared to other djs, well I had to buy a second one.I think you all know what happens with the spending after that.£40 every week was not unheard of.Not just in the latest tunes but it`s the back catalogue as well that gets involved, believe me,one Tinrib/tripoli/Do Not Bend tune leads to twenty.I and so many others could have a brand new Yamaha R1 outside the door at that rate [two in my case]but we choose what we choose. Now I hate to put anyone down, but Sasha didn`t inspire me to do
that, nor did Oakenfold/Healey/Weatherall/Digweed In fact the more I dug the worse it got, except for Blu Peter`s Reactivate 10 [mixed version,].It was Tony de Vit that inspired that, not just in me, but in more than just a few hundred people. It`s early days yet,but let`s not fuck it up.Seriously, the last few weeks have been magic and thanks to everybody that`s contributed.

proper! must admit though oakanfold is some one i respect, ive heard some awsome mixes from him in the past and also sasha when he is on form can reallly kick ass! i respect sasha and he does try to push open new doors ufortunatly the are some times a little misguided but when he gets it right (expander is such a class tune! sorry if any one dissagrees but the track in my opinion rocks!) he will bring the house down!

You`ve reminded me of what I thought at the time was the greatest set of tunes I`d ever heard,Oakenfold live at the camden palace xmas 95[on kiss] as I was still early into the dance music scene but early 96 my brother bought me my first proper mixtape,A Retrospective of House 91-96 [vol 4] on Sound Dimension which had Sister Bliss as well as TdV mixes and since then I`ve been spoiled, really. If anybody ever wants to help someone else to "get the point" of dance music buy them that one!I definitely think it should be rereleased just as a retro thing as it would knock spots off a lot of what`s around at the moment.

Where do I start?I`m still speechless after hearing the latest.Absolutely stunning.I still can`t believe the hard work and sheer inspiration that Tony put in to each and every set. There`s so much more to his mixing than you would hear first time round, you really do have to listen to it again.
I`ll have to dig it out and confirm the title, but No 17 is The Captain and either Karim or Dr Base on Tinrib Records. The other couple that I have to dig out are Nos 4 and 7 on the Juicy tape, both on Tripoli Trax,No 8 is John the Dentist Shindo No 9 is SJ I feel divine [kitty lips mix].I`ve got to have a sort out of the records anyhow so should have it sorted very soon.I`ve got most of Come Dancing sorted as well but the first three I can`t name at all.

Well actually NR10. isn't Tony de Vit - Feel My Love but it's MRS Wood - Feel So Good (it's one of the different mixes that Tony de Vit did for MRS Wood but got rejected... later on it was turned into Tony de Vit - Feel my Love for the TDV label with different vocals)

i think we can look into marring up these track listings with the correct mixes reel soon and we can slowly fill in any gaps if and when.
Ive also tidied up the links to the downloads now as well Very Happy looks alot better now.

Hi,
Im new to this site, only found it because i was bored and im glad i did.
ive downloaded the sets but cant listen now because everyones in bed but this site looks good. Its nice to see one like this. Ive been into Tony De Vit's music for years but have never really bought many cds that he made, but i will be in the future. I currently have Tony De Vit Live in Tokyo, Elements (1st Testament) mixed by Tony and Seb Fontaine and Are You all Ready.
I'll be telling some friends about this site!!!
